SPARC slams corporl punishment
LARKANA: The Society for the Protection of Rights of Children (SPARC) regional protection manager, Kashif Bajeer, condemned the incident of corporal punishment in Obavro where child died due to severe punishment.
The Child Rights Committees (CRCS) the functioning cluster of SPARC organization working to abolish the corporal punishment in schools all over, they had demanded the authorities and government Education Department about regular happenings all over the districts in Sindh.
SPARC representative have urged the authorities on child rights violation and the children were being brutally beaten in government schools and seminaries especially in rural and urban areas of the province. On the occasion child rights activists demanded to ensure strict ban on corporal punishment and through investigation into the death of school child in Obavro of Ghotki district.
The SPARC Sindh Protection Manager Kashif Bajeer and CRC members also underlined the authorities including District Police Officer, Zila Nazim, DCO to take stern action against the usual corporal punishment and investigation in to the death. of a gild in Obavro.
