KARACHI – Soyem of late broadcaster and intellectual, Siddiq Arshad will be held on Wednesday (July 28) between Asr and Maghrib prayers at the Masjid Farooq Azam near Boating Basin Clifton.
Separate arrangements have been made for ladies at 16-C, Deunes Apartment, (Ph 5874377) near KFC building. Arshad had secured first class first position in MA English and started his career in 50s as a radio compere of ‘Kasooti’ programme and then emerged as a programmer and broadcaster.
He was regarded as a good writer and intellectual among literary circles. Arshad has left behind a widow and a son. The literary circles have expressed deep shock and grief over the sad demise of Arshad, who passed away on July 26 night after a protracted illness.
