Six hurt in attack on journalist’s house
BAJAUR AGENCY: Six people were badly hurt when unknown miscreants hurled hand-grenades on the house of a local journalist in Tehsil Khar of the agency, political authorities said on Monday.
Local people and authorities said that unknown assailants attacked the house of Syed Zafarullah Banori with sophisticated weapons and hand-grenades at midnight in the area of Bai China, about 14 km from Khar.
As a result, six inmates were seriously injured, who were shifted to Agency Headquarters Hospital, from where three critically injured were shifted to Peshawar.The authorities conducted a thorough search operation in the area, soon after the attack and arrested several suspects.
Meanwhile, security forces blew up the house of a wanted terrorist with explosives in the area of Chengazo and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from the area. During the operation a wanted terrorist was also arrested.
