Sindh Shops and Establishment Security Bill approved

KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet has approved Sindh Shops and Establishment Security Bill, 2010 here on Saturday, under which major markets of the province would be closed by 8pm daily aimed at ensuring security to traders and ending load shedding.

Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro and Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information and Archives Jameel Ahmed Soomro told this while briefing journalists about the Sindh cabinet’s decisions. It was said that the Sindh police arrested some persons for their involvement in recent terrorist incidents including blasts and would make them public soon. Joint investigative teams are interrogating the terrorists. According to him the cabinet expressed its satisfaction on the overall law and order situation in the province.

The cabinet was informed at the meeting that the government has already increased budget of Sindh police from Rs 15 billion to Rs 25 billion. Salaries of police would be increased, besides to construct new buildings where police stations have no building.
