Sindh journalists for inter-provincial harmony
A 30-member delegation of senior journalists from Sindh, led by Provincial Minister for Information Shazia Marri, arrived here Friday.
Talking to journalists at the airport, the Sindh information minister said the visit of the media delegation would result in exchange of experiences with the media-men of Punjab and it would help develop perception about different issues from each other’s perspective.
She said such interaction would help promote mutual understanding. She added years of tyranny had given only unrest and devastation to the country.
Shazia Marri said the goal of the authoritarian ruler was to rule by dividing the federating units and, for that purpose he, time and again, used different issues to create dissension and disharmony among the provinces.
The minister said the visit of the delegation would serve as a token of its commitment towards inter-provincial harmony. She said prosperity of the federating units would lead to a strong and prosperous federation. She added it was, therefore, crucial to build healthy relations with the fellow provinces.
Shazia Marri later visited Data Darbar where she offered fateha and laid a floral wreath at the mazar.
