Sindh governor, culture minister condole demise of Moin Akhtar

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan and Culture Minister Sassui Palijo have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned artiste Moin Akhtar.

In a condolence message here on Friday evening, the governor said that the deceased was a versatile and distinguished artist.

Dr Khan said that late Moin Akhtar’s role, as a comedian par excellence would be long remembered. He said that the deceased had also done a lot for the revival of theatre. The governor said that late Akhtar had also been active towards the welfare of the fellow artistes. He said that Akhtar was not only a celebrated artist but was also a very nice human being. Dr Khan prayed for rest of the departed soul in eternal peace and grant of courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Sassui Palijo in her condolence message sympathised with the grieved family and prayed to Allah almighty to grant courage to bereaved family members.

She lauded the services of Akhter in the fields of acting, comedy, entertainment and stage show and in films and dramas. She said that actors like Akhter had left the gap in the versatile acting he had always acted as real manner with colours of life and left impressive and superb career, young generation should follow his way of acting to entertain and provide happiness to their admirers and fond of his artistic work.
