Sindh government notifies 20pc raise in pension

KARACHI: Sindh government on Tuesday notified 20 percent increase in net pension of all civil pensioners, with the effect from July 2012.

As many as 15 percent increases in pension have been allowed to the new pensioners who retired on or after July 1, 2012. Net pension means pension being drawn minus Medical Allowance which would be continued to be admissible at the level of its admissibility as on June 30, 2012. The increase would be admissible on family pension granted under the pension earn gratuity scheme.

The increases in pension sanctioned in this O.M. will not be admissible on Special Additional Pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement orderly allowance.

The benefit of increase in pension sanctioned in the O.M. will also be admissible to those civil pensioners of the provincial government who arc residing abroad (other than those residing in India and Bangladesh) who retired on or after August 15, 1947 and are not entitled to, or are not in receipt of pension increase under the British Government’s Pension (increase) Acts.
