Sindh gets new video conferencing system

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has said that Sindh has become the first province in the country to launch the video conferencing system as part of its efforts to resolve problems of the people.

He was talking to Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, chief secretary Fazlur Rehman and the administrators of all the districts of the province while inaugurating the videoconferencing system at a ceremony held at the Governor’s House on Tuesday.

The governor said that the system would link the governor, the chief minister, all the district heads and all administrative secretaries which, he hoped, would help resolve problems of the people at all levels. He congratulated the chief minister and particularly Information Technology Minister Raza Haroon and his team on this accomplishment.

Talking to the chief minister through the system, the governor pointed out that earlier work on a telemedicine system had been done and now this system would be linked with the health department.
