Sheikh Rashid Mian Asif join hands against government
LAHORE: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid and Muslim League-Like Minded provincial information secretary Mian Asif met here on Sunday and decided to increase contacts between the two parties.
They also decided to hold joint protest meetings in various constituencies of the provincial metropolis against the policies of the government.
Both leaders also discussed “failed” policies of the Punjab government, political and law and order situation in the province.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Sheikh Rashid said the PML-N and the PPP were opposing each other in a fixed match as leadership of these parties had allegedly put at stake the country`s interest only for their personal benefits.
He said the Raiwind knew all about the release of Raymond Davis, the CIA operative who had killed two youths in Lahore in January, but not to speak the truth was their old habit.
Mian Asif said both the federal as well as provincial governments had failed to deliver and only the change in power corridors could resolve the problems faced by the masses.
