Sharjeel Memon flays attack

Sindh Informa-tion Minister Sharjeel Memon on onday strongly condemned the firing incident at Business Recorder House (offices of Daily Business Recorder and Aaj News) in Karachi and said that the culprits involved in the incident would be brought to justice.

At least two persons, a security guard and an employee were wounded when unidentified armed men opened fire at Recorder House at Gurumandir in Karachi. Sharjeel said that such incidents are intolerable and culprits involved in the incident should be brought to the justice. Government would ensure the safety of media institutions at any cost, he added.

He said media’s voice could not be muffled or suppressed. On the other hand, President Karachi Press Club Tahir Hassan Khan, Secretary Moosa Kaleem, President Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ-Dastoor) Syed Afzaal Mohasin and Secretary Amir Latif condemned the attack on Recorder Hosue and termed the incident ‘another failure’ of the government.
