SCBA passes motion against closure of Geo Super, Aag

RAWALPINDI: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) in a meeting in Lahore on Thursday passed a resolution demanding immediate restoration of Geo Super and Aag.

The meeting held with SCBA General Secretary Qamar Zaman Qureshi in the chair was attended by SCBA Multan chapter convenor Kanwar Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Aslam Ghuman from Islamabad, finance secretary Sanaullah Zahid, additional secretary Saleheen Mughal, executive committee member Mian Javed, Tabinda Islam, Wasim Mumtaz Malik and Habib Qureshi.

The resolution says reasons being given by Pemra for blocking Geo Super and Aag are childish. It says a mockery of law should not be made by taking such steps, adding how the people will abide by the law when the government and its departments do not change their attitude. The resolution further says that youth and game lovers should not be punished if Geo TV network and Pemra have some contentious issues.
