SC to hear case on objectionable media content
The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) is going to hear a case pertaining to vulgarity and obscene content on media on Tuesday. Earlier, the then JI chief, the late Qazi Hussain Ahmed, and subsequently the then JI Karachi chapter head Muhammad Hussain Mehnati had filed application before the apex court in regard with the obscene content on media. The application was accepted for further proceedings and the court on May 24 during hearing of the case had ordered Pemra and PTA to file a report before the court in this regard.
