Salary of Pakistan Television (PTV) staff raised
ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has raised salary and allowances of its employees.
According to the Charter of Demands agreed between the PTV management and workers unions, the management agreed to revise workers salary, allowances and canteen subsidy, said President Workers Union (Hqs) Musharraf Khan and Secretary General Mushtaq Qadri.
Under the revised Formula, group one employees will get an increase in salary and conveyance allowance of Rs. 614 and 244; group one-a Rs. 635 and 250; group two Rs.734 and 272; group three Rs. 958 and 32 1; group four Rs. 1363 and 420; group five Rs.1805 and 570 and group six Rs.2221 and 656, respectively.
Employees of group one and one-a will get Rs.100; group two Rs. 180; group three Rs.216 and group four Rs.306 as petrol charges Every employee will receive Rs.100 as water charges whereas canteen subsidy has been raised from Rs.200. to 300.
Every employee will now he paid uniform charges commensurate with the increase in dearness. 24 PTV employees will be sent on Hajj from next year. Employees Hafiz-e-Quran children will be paid Rs.2000 each whereas Rs.1000 scholarships will be given to those children who got admission in engineering or medical courses.
PTV Director Engineering Akhtar Dad, Director Programmes Akhtar Waqar Azeeni, Director Finance lqbal Hassan and Director Administration Mr. Jams represented the management in the meeting with the PTV workers unions representatives.
