Rs100m for Faizee Rahmeen Art Gallery
Karachi: Of the total cost of Rs400 million only Rs100 million is available for the completion of the much-postponed Faizee Rahmeen Art Gallery under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) budget of 2012-2013 for the project.
Speaking at the budget press conference on Thursday, KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said the project will be completed in the upcoming fiscal year. The remaining finances will be arranged from other sources. According to KMC administrator, the five-floor art gallery will have a parking facility, dressing and workshop rooms for artists.
An art gallery, a cafeteria, a banquet hall and a conference room will also be set up on the ground floor. The project also encompasses a world-class auditorium of 1,800 seating capacity for theatre and live shows.
