Role of women journalists lauded

KARACHI – The role of young women journalists in today’s media is very important as society needs skilled women in this field; this was stated by Sindh Minister for youth Affairs Syed Faisal Sabzwari here.

He was speaking as a chief guest at certificate awarding ceremony of ten-day’s training course arranged by Women Media Centre (WMC), course title was “Legislation Process in the Provincial Assembly).

The minister was the opinion of that through such type of efforts women could be brought to the main stream of society and discrimination against women could better be averted and also half of problems society facing today would be resolved.

He informed the audiences about the project of Sindh government for the benefit of students which encompassing career oriented guideline through website for all aspiring students of the country seeking scholarship and higher education.

He said that Sindh government was establishing five youth development centre in the province for the development and training of the youth.

He assured Women Media Centre of his help for arranging free training for young female journalist.
The executive director of Women Media Centre Fauzia Shaheen informed the minister about the aims and objectives WMC.

Senior journalist Agha Masood, Nusrat Ameen and other also spoke occasion.
