Karachi: Felicitating the Hindu community on Holi, the Sindh governor and chief minister reiterated the government’s commitment to protect the rights and freedoms of every minority community of Pakistan.

In his message issued on Wednesday, Governor Ebad lauded the role being performed by Sindh’s minority communities for progress of the province and
nation.

Highlighting the peaceful nature of the Hindu community, he said that Islam too called for equal rights for all and this message must be implemented in letter and spirit.

CM Qaim Ali Shah, on the other hand, attended a Holi gathering organised at the Hindu Gymkhana late on Tuesday night. Speaking on the occasion, the CM reiterated the PPP’s commitment to ensure protection of minorities’ rights.

He said the public holiday declared in Sindh on March 24 (today) was in line with the government’s vision for equality of all religious communities.
