Rich tributes paid to late Najeeb Ahmed
Karachi: Rich tributes were paid to senior journalist late Najeeb Ahmed, a former president of the Karachi Press Club (KPC) for his immense contributions in the realms of journalism.
A condolence meeting was held here under the auspices of the Friends of Karachi University – an organisation of the old students of the institution.
A statement on Saturday said that a former chairman of the Department of Mass Communication, Prof. Zakariya Sajid, said that late Ahmed was a very competent and bold journalist who performed his professional duties in an exemplary manner.
He said that late Ahmed was a thorough gentleman and his reporting was also quite responsible. Prof. Sajid said that the services of late Ahmed in the field of journalism would long be remembered.
Habib Ahmed Naveed, Rehan Hassan, Iqbal Choudhry, Osama bin Razi, Shakeel Khan, Imtiaz Siddiqui, Qazi Sadaruddin, Muhammad Khalid and brother of late Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed also spoke on the occasion.
