‘All resources to be used for journalists’ welfare’
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday said the government is utilising all possible resources for the welfare of the journalists. In an interview with Radio Pakistan, he said no progress is possible without freedom of media. He said it is good omen that this pillar of the state is being strengthened in the country.
The Information Minister said all the institutions of the country and segments of the society are in favour of freedom of media. To a question about the energy crisis in the country, the Information Minister said during the next eight to ten years 21,000 megawatt of electricity will be added in the national grid. He said the government is working on small-, medium- and long-term energy projects.
