Report of dislodging newsmen denied
QUETTA- The assistant commissioner, Bela, Noorul Haq Baluch denied that he had dislodged journalists from the premises of the press club and locked it.
In a clarification, he said that the premises was given to the press club on temporary basis. It belonged to the local Town Committee where the court of judicial magistrate is also located and functioning.
Since additional rooms were needed by the judicial magistrate for smooth functioning of proceedings, the newsmen were asked to vacate the premises for the court. There was no discrimination and no action against the newsmen, he said.
