Rahat Fateh sings for Salman Khan’s Tubelight

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is having another supremely successful year. The Tribute Tour 2017 meant to honour the twentieth anniversary of the Ustad legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan took RFAK and his group to Canada and the United States before wrapping up in terrific fashion.

Furthermore, just last month, Oxford University named a music room after RFAK while he was in the UK. He also performed at the prestigious institution.

While Khan is not touring India any time soon, he is still lending his voice to Indian films, irrespective of the ban placed on Pakistani artists from working in India. Despite the fact that the Indian media has deliberately avoided identifying artists from Pakistan as Pakistanis while appreciating their work in Bollywood, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, it seems, is immune to the change in order. A case in point: the upcoming Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight in which he has sung a song. Salman Khan-Rahat Fateh Ali Khan combination usually works so rest assured this single too will rake in big bucks.

Moving on, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has also alluded to the possibility of a new album that is in the works and will deal with Qawwali while staying true to the traditional form. Other reports suggest that he has joined forces with Sanam Marvi on an album of devotional hymns that is slated to release later this Ramzaan.
