Radio channel closed

BAJAUR- The political administration of Bajaur Agency closed down a privately run radio channel in the agency and seized the equipment.

The radio channel operating in different parts of the agency, including Khaar, Lharai, Tarkho, Pusht, and Nawagai used to relay anti-American and pro-Taliban songs from 7 am to 10 pm every day and incited the people for Jihad. The transmission of the FM radio stations could be received in a radius of 40 kilometres in the agency.

Large contingents of the Bajaur levies raided the radio station and seized the equipment.
