No question of banning Geo, Jang: Liaquat Baloch
OKARA: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) general secretary Liaquat Baloch on Tuesday said the party believed in independent journalism and there was no question of banning Geo and Jang.
Talking to District Union of Journalists office bearers, Liaquat Baloch said there must be silence on Hamid Mir’s case till the completion of the Judicial Commission’s investigation. He said internal and external security in the country was the real issue. “Non-issues must not be made issues,” Baloch said, and added that a JI delegation would join Imran Khan’s rally on May 11.
He said the government disappointed the masses. He said the US would quit Afghanistan in 2014-15, but it was hatching conspiracies against Pakistan. “Differences were being created between the media and the Army. Both the pillars of the state must realise their role in the country,” Baloch said.
