PTV orders probe into leakage of question paper

ISLAMABAD- The management of the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has ordered an inquiry to fix the responsibility of the leakage of the question paper for nationwide written examination to recruit news producers and reporters for the news channel. “Managing Director Yousaf Beg Mirza has ordered an inquiry to fix the responsibility of the leakage of the papers,” according to a Press release.

A nationwide written examination to fill the posts of news producers and reporters in PTV’s news channel was held at Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta on Wednesday.

“The examination for the Sindh province was postponed due to strike in Karachi,” the Press release said. “However, an English daily leaked the question paper due to which about an hour’s delay was caused in the start of the paper.”

A total of over 650 eligible candidates from all over the country, who were issued call letters, took the examination. Internal candidates were also allowed to sit in the written test.
