Protests over art gallery incident today
LAHORE: Protests are to be held in front of Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad press clubs today (Saturday) from 3pm to 4pm to condemn the police attack on Nairang Gallery and its staff.
Shadman Police Station SHO Rana Zulfiqar had raided the art gallery-cum-café on August 2. During the raid, he allegedly assaulted the staff members and bruised the young female curator of the gallery.
Artists, art lovers, members of civil society and citizens will converge, just a day before Independence Day, to show solidarity with the ever-increasing number of victims of police-instigated violence throughout the country.
