Protest rallies, demonstrations in Sindh against sacrilegious film

SUKKUR: Protest rallies were taken out and demonstrations held on Friday in Sukkur, Hyderabad, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Tando Allahyar, Jacobabad, Mirpurkhas, Larkana and other districts of Sindh on the call of the Sunni Action Committee (SAC) against the sacrilegious film made in the US. There was complete shutter down in Tando Allahyar and Ranipur town of Khairpur where all trade and business activities remained suspended.

A large number of activists of the SAC took out big rallies and staged demonstrations. They set on fire the effigy of the film producer as well as that of the US president. The activists said the US was against Muslims and Islam. They said the film angered the Muslims the world over. They warned the US and the world community that Muslims could not tolerate desecration of their religion and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
