Press enjoying more freedom in Pakistan: Arnold
SKARDU- Press is enjoying more freedom in the present government as compared to the previous elected governments.
Director Freedom Forem Asian Centre Hong Kong Arnold Zeltan stated this while addressing the concluding ceremony of a two-day workshop for rural journalist. He said that such freedom of expression was never witnessed in the past elected and military governments. The workshop was jointly organised by Freedom Forum and Pakistan Press Foundation.
In the workshop, journalists were informed about the performing of professional duties. The problems of rural journalists were also discussed in details. At the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed among the journalists. Senior Superintendent of Police Skardu Mammon Shah was the chief guest.
