Press Centre set up for Clinton’s visit

ISLAMABAD- The Ministry of Information has made arrangements to facilitate journalists both local and foreign during the visit to Pakistan of the US President.

The Press Centre which has been set up in the Press Information Department auditorium will provide telephone, tele-fax and computer facilities to journalists. Internet and E-mail connections will also be available. Ministry of Information has also made arrangements for the transportation of journalists from Press Information Department to the airport and back. The buses will leave PID at 9.30 a.m. on March 25. Transport facility can be availed by journalists who hold security cards issued for the coverage of the visit. It may be mentioned here that no one will be allowed to go to airport in his own transport.

Pakistan television and Radio Pakistan will telecast/broadcast live coverage of President ClintonÂ’s arrival at the airport and the welcoming ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
