Presidency terms media report speculative
ISLAMABAD: The Presidency on Friday called “speculative” a media report that claimed that the President’s House had authorised a federal minister to use a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft for domestic travel to perform official duties.
President’s spokesman Farhatullah Babar said the Presidency was authorised to request special PAF aircraft for the travel of the president, members of his entourage, ministers and state functionaries for official use. He said federal ministers have asked for such allowances in the past, and they were duly allowed. “There is nothing unusual about the permission given to a federal minister recently for using a special aircraft for performing his official duties,” he said.
