PPP demands re-election in PF-40

PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party candidate from PF-40 Karak, while alleging of rigging on the part of rival candidate has demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to hold re-election in his constituency.

During a press conference here at the Peshawar Press Club on Friday, he alleged that his rival candidates, Mian Nisar Gul, used unfair means and polled more than 10,000 fake votes. He said that supporters of his rival candidate had tried to harass voters by resorting violence in different part of the constituency.

He said one could easily understand by the facts that how election were rigged in his constituency by knowing that all the candidates running for the lone national assembly seat NA-15, Karak, had bagged 52,000 votes, while the candidates contesting for PF-40 had polled 62,000 votes and added that former chief minister Akram Khan Durrani was equally involved in getting polled thousands of fake votes in Karak and Barnnu, where Jamiat Ulema­i-Islam chief Maulana Fazalul Rehman was contesting for NA. 26.
