THIS refers to Nadeem F. Paracha’s column ‘Let it bleed’ (Dec 11). According to him, it is believed that whenever the establishment wants to drive a hard bargain with the Americans, it whips up anti-Americanism with the help of sympathetic voices in the populist media and political circles.

Pakistan is probably the most anti-American country in the world, so concluded the American Congressional Research Services, which advises the US Congress and writes briefs for the US lawmakers (Feb 20, 2005).
