Police firing kills three protesters in Karachi
Karachi: Three political activists were killed as a result of firing by law-enforcers during a clash between the police and protestors in Gulshan-e-Maymar.
Some 20 persons were injured including nine police recruits. During the crackdown, police rounded up some 40 miscreants and siezed arms and ammunation from them. Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza, taking notice of the killing of three activists of STPP, has ordered an immediate inquiry and appointed the DIG, South Zone, A.D. Khwaja, chairman of the inquiry committee.
