PML-Q rejects division of Sindh, supports Hazara province

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Q has rejected division of Sindh province but it has supported creation of Hazara and Southern Punjab provinces, said PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, here on Thursday. He further said Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain is in contact with MQM and Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman with a view to bring the country out of crisis and final strategy would be evolved after consultation.

Pervez said political situation could not be improved in the country until all political parties agree to a national agenda. “We would have to set aside our ego and personal interest if we want to improve life of poor masses,” he added. About joining the government, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said that the leadership in all the provinces has authorised Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain to take decision in this regard. “We have also contacted individually to over 350 prominent figures of the Punjab province to seek their opinion who fully authorised us to take decision in the national interest,” he added.

He said that their party wanted creation of jobs and eradication of lawlessness while the law and order situation in Punjab province was worsening with each passing day and needed to be improved, as 10 incidents of dacoity take place after every 20 minute, he added. He further said the party doors were still opened for those who had left PML to join N-league while some of them have rejoined PML-Q. The PML-Q’s first priority is redressal of the problems of the poor people.
