Plan to provide housing to journalists
Karachi: The Sindh government has a plan to provide residential units to all journalists who do not have the sufficient resources to meet their housing needs, according to the provincial information secretary Dr Zulfiqar Ali Shalwani.
He said that the government was also keen on addressing all small or big problems of working journalists including health facilities.
He said this while speaking as a chief guest at a program held in connection with Pakistan Day on March 23 organised by the Journalist Welfare Association.
Shalwani said that Sindh government had always given priority to the service agenda of working journalists and took the lead in addressing their grievances.
He said that the role of journalists was very important and they kept the government updated and on its toes, leading it to reach out to problem areas for solution of problems.
