PIMS doctors stopped from talking to media

ISLAMABAD: Doctors of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) were stopped from giving any information to media through a circular issued by Fazale Haddi, the hospital’s executive director, on Tuesday.

The circular, seen by Daily Times, has been sent to all departments of the hospital, stating that nobody is allowed to give interviews or issue statements to media.

Haddi warned of strict action against those violating the directives.

The circular was issued just days after Dr Wasim Khawaja was transferred from the hospital, reportedly because he provided information to journalists on the number of gastroenteritis patients at the hospital.
