PEMRA needs to act
Letter to the editor…
Reference news-item published in the Karachi press (July 4) about the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, Sindh, receiving and redressing 100 complaints from all over the province about poor and faulty cable TV service during the month of June.
It is a good omen that PEMRA should be trying to solve the problems of cable viewers, who are mostly entertainment-hungry women confined to their homes. PEMRA should also tell what action it has taken on these complaints.
Is PEMRA in a position to do something against the local TV operators of Nawabshah? If yes, it should.
