Pearl is alive, says US paper
PARIS- The newspaper the Wall Street Journal said on Thursday in a statement received in Paris that it was confident that its reporter Daniel Pearl was still alive.
“We continue to remain confident that Danny is still alive,” the brief statement said. Photos of Pearl in chains and with a gun held to his head were sent by email to media organizations along with threats to kill the Bombay-based reporter on Feb 1 unless the United States released certain detainees.
