PBC marathon poll transmission ends
PESHAWAR (APP)- The non-stop marathon transmission of Radio Pakistan Peshawar for coverage of elections 2008 ended here Wednesday morning.
The caretaker Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Iftikharuddin Chimkani formally launched the marathon transmission of Radio Pakistan Peshawar center on February 18.
The elections transmission not only gave extensive coverage to the elections results and informed the audiences about the latest updates but also broadcast songs and comedy skits to entertain people.
The correspondents of Radio Pakistan Peshawar from various districts of the Province informed the audience about latest updates and the senior journalists also presented their analysis of the party positions and overall political scenario in the country. A booth was set-up at Radio Pakistan Peshawar Center for live coverage of the election results.
At the culmination of the marathon transmission Station Director Noorul Basar thanked the political observers, journalists, producers, engineers and other staff for their hard work and commitment.
