Sir: Workers made redundant by certain television channels staged a protest against the non-payment of their dues on November 27, 2011. Where are the leaders of the PFUJ and the RIUJ, and what is the journalist union leaders’ stand on the issue?

The protestors blocked the road in front of two television channel’s offices for five hours. The workers, members of RIUJ, sent messages to RIUJ president and other office bearers but there has been no response from them in favour of the workers. Furthermore, the administration of one of the channels has filed an FIR application with the police in Islamabad against workers for protesting and demanding their salaries.
