Pakistan Software Export Board inks agreement for new technique

KARACHI- Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has inked an agreement with Winson Technologies Private Limited and a United Kingdom-based communication company.

The new technique is a local development, which will provide a far more better quality of picture as compared to video transmission coming via satellite.

In a statement, the project in its Phase-I will satellite encryption control and software development, installation which helps in testing overland based transmission as well as dual support testing for internet viewing. As this technology will provide an encryption code and likewise one can use the same connection for the Internet surfing and instant messaging via the local Internet Service Provider (ISP).

The second phase comprises of designing and manufacturing of digital satellite decoder for a new coming satellite channel with foot steps in Asian region. By exporting this software, hardware, firmware to the UK, which is apart from $20 million of foreign exchange earnings.

The project will create new jobs of more than 400 professionals, which will be required for assembling and production of satellite receivers and other related accessories. These satellite receivers and related accessories will be a continuous induction of foreign exchange into Pakistan.
