Pakistan may seek Canada’s help in IT

TORONTO, April 10: Pakistan intends to seek Canada’s cooperation in the filed of information technology (IT), said visiting Federal Minister for Science and Technology Atta-ur-Rahman here on Tuesday night.

“We are currently here to explore possibilities of Canada’s cooperation in the field of IT and other scientific fields, the minister said addressing a select gathering of IT experts and potential foreign investors. The gathering was arranged by Pakistani Consul General Iftikhar Ahmed Arain.

The minister said Pakistan had launched as many as 350 projects in different scientific and IT fields, and had also initiated very useful research-support programmes in the country.

Earlier, the consul general introduced the minister, and said Prof Atta-ur-Rahman was an author and editor of 63 books. Most of his books were published in Europe, USA and Japan.
