Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) protests against media buying houses registration
KARACHI- The Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) has sent a memorandum to the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) urging that media buying houses should not be registered and their operation should be carefully mentioned so that these are not misused by certain vested interest. The communication from PAA Chairman Jamshed Qureshi said that media buying houses should not overlap the role advertising agencies.
The PAA has urged the APNS not to register the media buying houses and in the meantime APNS should have a joint meeting with the PAA on the subject.
The APNS annual meeting will be held on March 31, 2001, at which a resolution will be presented for registering media buying houses by the APNS.
