Oracle makes investments easier for people
KARACHI, May 31 2006: Oracle has certified Oracle Retail Merchandising Planning and Optimisation (ORMPO) applications with Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM) 10g. According to a press release on May 30 the certification enables retail customers to protect, extend and evolve their existing investments in Oracle applications, using OFM, a family of standards-based middleware products.
The certification of Oracle applications, which includes Oracle Retail, Oracle e-business Suite, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, with Oracle Fusion Middleware is expected to benefit customers both immediately and in the long-term. The certifications make it easier for organizations to integrate their Oracle retail applications with other packaged and custom applications using a service-oriented architecture (SOA). “The choice is paramount for retailers,” said Duncan Angove, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Retail Global Business Unit.
“Today, Oracle Retail customers can join the more than 30,000 customers worldwide who are growing their businesses, making better decisions and managing risk with Oracle Fusion Middleware,” said Oracle Senior vice president, Oracle Server Technologies, Thomas Kurian.
