World’s premier celebrity magazine OK! has been officially launched in Pakistan by Juicy Publications (Pvt) Limited headed by CEO and publisher Saher H Paracha. Renowned for being the first for celebrity news, OK! Pakistan was introduced at a press conference and unveiling ceremony, which revealed the cover of the first issue of OK! Pakistan at the historic Mohatta Palace on Sunday.

The OK! Pakistan press conference was hosted by media personality Ayesha Omar who initiated the proceedings with a welcome note before introducing the publication’s core editorial team; Paracha, Editor-in-Chief Aamna Haider Isani, Creative Editor Tania Longi, Fashion & Beauty Editor Alyzeh Rahim Shirazi and Lifestyle Editor Maira Pagganwala. Omar also acknowledged Assistant Editor Haiya Bokhari and Graphic Artist Fazal Abbas, who designed the cover and has developed the look of the magazine.

Paracha gave an overview of the publication’s rich international heritage and shared information pertaining to the publication’s vision for Pakistan. Isani apprised the audience on the nature of content that OK! Pakistan would feature and elaborated on the magazine’s ambition to highlight the Pakistani celebrity, be it on the high street or the main street. Following the press conference, Omar presented video messages by Stan Myerson, Group Joint Managing Director at Northern and Shell and Naouelle Tir, International Director at Northern and Shell. The inaugural cover of OK! Pakistan featured Benazir Bhutto as the most legendary and inspirational woman in Pakistan.

The cover reveal was followed by an enthralling musical performance by acclaimed musician Zoe Viccaji who regaled the audience with renditions of different pop hits and classical ballads. The OK! Pakistan team also recognised the Best Dressed Female and Male at the event, with Aamina Sheikh and Rizwanullah winning the awards respectively. The winners of a special raffle draw were also announced, with Rubina Farooqi and Sharmila Farooqi winning the grand prize of a return ticket to Turkey, courtesy Turkish Airlines. The launch event was well-attended and featured esteemed members of the press, renowned fashion designers, socialites and media personalities. The event was managed by Catwalk Events with public relations by Lotus PR.
