NPC announce elections schedule
ISLAMABAD – Elections to the offices of the National Press Club, Islamabad, for the year 2011 are being held on December 29, says a press release of the election committee issued here on Tuesday. The election committee finalised the elections schedule at a meeting, chaired by Nasir Zaidi here at NPC.
According to schedule, nomination papers will be received from December 19 to 21 from 3:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Examination of papers by the interested candidates on December 22 from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Scrutiny and initial list of candidates will be displayed on December 23. Filing of objections on nomination papers will be received on December 24. Hearing of objections will be heard on December 25 from 4:00p.m to 8:00p.m. Provisional list of candidates will be displayed on December 25 at 10:00p.m.
Withdrawal of nomination papers will be allowed on December 26 maximum by 8:00p.m. The final list of candidates will be announced on December 26 at 10:00p.m.
Polling will be held on December 29 from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. For the posts of president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary and finance secretary, non-refundable election fee of Rs 500, each while for the executive body the election fee Rs 200, each is required to be deposited along with the nomination papers.
Nomination papers can be obtained from the Islamabad National Press Club on December 19 to 21 from 11:00a.m. to 8:00p.m.
