Non-Muslims join anti-blasphemy protest

KARACHI – Nearly all the religious communities of the country on Sunday strongly denounced the blasphemous caricatures of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and demanded of the government and recently elected legislators to immediately expel the ambassadors of Denmark and Holland from the country.

The clerics of various Muslim sects and other religions, including Christians, Hindu, Sikh and Parsi participated in the “Faith Conference” held at local hotel under the aegis of “FAITH” Forum (Fight Against Intolerance, Terrorism and Hatred).

Religious scholars of different religions in the country also appealed the peoples to boycott the product of the countries involved in the republishing of profane caricatures.

Allama Abbas Kumaili, Mufti Usman Yar Khan, Dr Amir Liqquat Hussain, Bishop Ejaz Enayat Church of Pakistan, Amar Nath Motomal President Hindu Panchayat Committee Karachi, Maulana Afzal Sardar Provincial Secretary of Markazi Jamiat-e-Ahl-e-Hadis, Rafique Ahmed Khan of JI, Maulana Faisal Azizi of Ahle-eSunnat Jamaat, Khoaja Ameen Nizami of Khoaja Nizam-uddin Auliya Shrine, Ealis of Parsi Community, Maulana Mirza Yousaf Hussain of APSAC, Sheikh Zohaib Cleric of Bohri Community, MPA Shehla Raza of PPP and others addressed the meeting .

Religious Scholar and head of Jaffaria Alliance and Patron of “Faith Forum” senator Allama Abbas Kumali lambasted the Denmark and other western countries adding that European countries should respect the sentiments of Muslims .

Highlight the objective of to form the Faith Forum he , added that its our prime responsibility to be united all the enlighten forces of the country to resolve the issues with mutual understanding .

He appealed to all the religions faithful to be united against the conspirators and urged the government to expel the Danish ambassador from the country.

He urged the International Federation of Journalists to take the notice of the Denmark and Western Media saying that freedom does not mean to hurt the sentiments of other faith followers .

Former Federal state Minister Amir Liaqaut Hussain said that we could not tolerate the Danish ambassador in the country.

He pointed out that to make this country 2.2 million Muslims were sacrificed their lives and its betrayal with the blood of martyrs that infidel who playing with the sentiments of the Muslims lives in our land.

He added that we should dare to challenge blasphemous and should question that why these people published sketches in this connection we should start dialogue with them, he suggested.

He recalled the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and said that Muslim Ummah is ready to sacrifice their lives for the sanctity of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

He strongly criticized the publishing of blasphemous caricatures and pointed out that the Zionist was behind the conspiracy of the printing of profane sketches.

Bishop Ejaz Enayat if any the Muslim Community take blasphemous issue in the International Court of Justice, he would help and support that Community saying that Christian Community has deeply concerned over the publishing of profane sketches.

He added that no religion has allowed that and have no right to any person to hurt the sentiments of other religious faith on the name of freedom of expression.

President Hindu Punchayat Committee Ammar Nath Moto Mul urged the Government to raise the voice against Denmark and other Western Countries that were involved in the republishing of blasphemous caricatures.

He strongly condemned the Western Countries over the printing of profane sketches.

Noted Cleric Mufti Usman Yar Khan Central Deputy General Secretary of JUI-S Central said that Muslim Community has respect all the religions but not tolerate the blasphemy against the holy Prophet (PBUH).

He denounced the reprinting of the profane sketches by the Western Media and the Film made by the Holland against Islam.
