No coverage passes to journalists
KHAIRPUR: As many as 80 per cent passes were not issued to journalists of Khairpur for coverage of Sindh Chief Minister’s programs by district government on Saturday.
According to district information officer KhaIrpur Sahib Khan Bhand they submitted the list of 86 journalists to the special branch for issuance of passes for the coverage of
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Mi Shah on Saturday but only 16. names were selected
from the list.
Local journalists strongly condemned the wrong attitude of district government. Meanwhile, a meeting of National Press Club was held under the chairmanship its president Rashid Ahmed Shaikh in which all members participated.
The meeting strongly condemned such type tactic for failing the publicity of Sindh Chief Minister visit of Khairpur and demanded enquiry in this regard.
The meeting also decided for the boycott of all programs of DCO and district administration in future.
