No clue to journalist’s killer

LAHORE: Police have not yet found a clue to the killer of a journalist associated with an online publication (LondonPost.net).

Faisal Qureshi, 28, was found dead at his residence in Johar Town last week.

“We have sent the finger prints record to Nadra and laptop for forensic examination. On his cell phone record, we have quizzed some of the callers and we hope to reach the killer(s) soon,” Johar Town DSP Malik Muhammad Mansha told Dawn on Tuesday.

“On the complaint of the victim’s brother that a political party might have been involved in the murder, we have investigated that aspect too but nothing has been established in this regard,” the DSP added.

The circumstantial evidence showed that he had a “scuffle” with the killer(s), he added.

He said Qureshi was living alone in his family house and the police were also looking for “frequent visitor(s)”.
