NGO receives threat
KORAT, Aug 1: A non-governmental organisation working for welfare of women has received threats from unknown people who want its four centers closed and all its female employees and trainees expelled.
The chairman of Kohat Area Development Organization (KA-DO) Ziaunah Bangash, said on Wednesday that he received a telephone call from a man who asked him to close four centers of the NCO and send 84 trainees and employees home within a week or face bombing of its offices within a week.
The KADO provides training facilities to women in computer, teaching and tailoring in its four centres.
Following the threats, the police have beefed up security at KADO’s main office in the city and its branches in other parts of the district.
