Newspaper hawkers striving to hike commission: Tikka Khan

RAWALPINDI: Newspaper hawkers neither have any dispute with nor any anger against any organisation and the objective of the meeting of Sindh and Balochistan newspaper hawkers associations is to get the commission for hawkers increased.

Lifetime General Secretary of All Pakistan Newspaper Hawkers Federation Tikka Khan Abbasi expressed these views while speaking at a two-day meeting of the office-bearers of newspaper hawkers associations from different cities of Sindh and Balochistan at a hotel in Hyderabad. All Pakistan Newspaper Hawkers Federation Chairman Syed Afzal Ahmed Shah chaired the meeting.

Tikka Khan said there is a single-point agenda of the meeting and that is an increase in the commission for newspaper hawkers. He said the increase in commission did not mean that they have any anger against any organisation or group. He said meetings with the concerned quarters were held and the outcome was very positive and encouraging. He hoped that their demands would be accepted.

Newspaper Hawkers Association Quetta President Yousaf Baloch, Karachi President Iqbal Noon and General Secretary Hameed Dada, Federation’s Central Vice President Abdus Sattar and Joint Secretary Iqbal Wahab, Hyderabad President Amir Afzal Shah, General Secretary Abdul Hakeem Mannan, Vice President Kamran Zia, Joint Secretary Sagheer Ahmed, Finance Secretary Imran Sharif and Press Secretary Aslam Qureshi and office-bearers of the associations from various other cities attended the meeting.Addressing the meeting, Syed Afzal Ahmed Shah said that newspaper hawkers would achieve the objective of increasing the commission through brotherhood and harmony.
