New TV food channel in the offing
KARACHI, July 26 2006: After the resounding success of its first channel, HUM TV, the Eye Television Network has announced the launch of its next channel, which promises to be one of its kind and the first in the world. A food channel based entirely on Pakistani and Indian cuisine, it will target Urdu and Hindi speaking audiences around the globe, a release said on July 25.
The channel will contain many interesting and unique segments such as ‘What’s new’, ‘Restaurant makeovers’, ‘Serving tips’, ‘focus on different diets’, ‘Kitchen accessories’, different programs based on niche recipes and lots more. Scheduled to be launched in Ramazan, the channel’s name will be announced soon to the general public in grand inauguration ceremony.
It may be noted that Eye Television Network has also announced the launch of a youth channel in collaboration with United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef), which is scheduled to go on air by the end of the year.
